The different woody perfumes
Cedar and vetiver give a dry, clean and elegant woodiness that works well during the day. Sandalwood is creamier and softer. Oud is the most intense wood, with a deep, slightly animalic character. Finally, amber woods warm the composition and make it last.
A woody perfume is not necessarily masculine or very powerful. Paired with flowers, iris or tonka bean, it can be soft and powdery.
